  • What is MAP?

The MAP Method™ utilizes the neuroplasticity of the brain to rewire and neutralize unfavorable long-term memories. With the help of recent developments in neuroscience and in the field of psychotherapy, the method was created to train the mind to heal itself on command by working via the window of reconsolidation.

MAP leverages the power of the superconscious mind; a higher state of consciousness which can on command find and treat memories in a way that is very quick, gentle and safe. The subconscious memories are not lost or deleted, but are simply neutralized such that they no longer carry the same emotional charge that was previously triggering the old thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

This simple but powerful method helps to create long-lasting positive transformations by permanently rewiring the underlying memories causing emotional and/or physical discomfort.

MAP sessions can take place remotely online or in person.

    Key Features of M.A.P.

    • It is a gentle, fast, and effective method that does not require hypnosis, tapping, or extensive talking therapy.
    • The client does not need to know or understand the root cause of their issues, as the brain is aware of its own programs.
    • It can address a wide range of conditions like addictions, fears, trauma, relationship issues, and various mental and physical ailments.
    • MAP can be used for self-help, allowing clients to neutralize negative emotions or patterns "on the go" in daily life.
    • The process is future-oriented rather than dwelling on the past, using intense positive emotions to create new neural wiring.

  • What Are Subconscious Blocks?

The subconscious mind is considered a very powerful part of the brain which records and stores all the memories of our lifetime from conception. The stored memories are the foundation upon which the subconscious mind creates our beliefs and values (especially during childhood) based on our life experiences. Today's science estimates that 95% of our behavior, decisions and emotions are controlled by our subconscious beliefs and memories. In other words, we act according to 'how' our subconscious mind believes we should, although we may not consciously always know or understand the 'why'.

Any negative beliefs (about ourselves or others), events/traumas or emotions that have been programmed into our subconscious mind will keep us trapped, such that we find ourselves repeating the same pattern of behavior despite our conscious efforts to change. For example, a child who had been bullied at school is likely to grow up with feelings of low self-esteem and lack of self-worth. As a consequence, they will have created subconscious beliefs about themselves of not being worthy or good enough, leading to a life of emotional struggles and self-sabotaging behaviors.

In order to create long-term change in the way we think, feel and behave, we have to address the root cause of these programs at the subconscious level. Thanks to the latest discoveries in neuroscience, this is now easily achievable with the cutting-edge and scientifically proven therapy known as the MAP Method™.

  • How does MAP leverage the process of memory reconsolidation?

Here are the 6 steps of the MAP Method

    1. The client watches a short 12 minute Brain-Training Video that teaches the client’s brain how to find and neutralize painful memories gently and safely.
    2. The client chooses an issue to focus on, reactivating the memory trace and becoming mindful of the thoughts, sensations, and feelings in her body/mind.
    3. The MAP Facilitator gives an instruction to the client’s brain, launching a self-healing of conscious and unconscious painful memories
    4. The client stays in mindfulness, present to what she is experiencing, doing nothing, and making no effort to change or affect the situation.
    5. After the processing, the client gives feedback– either a description of the changes observed or a subjective rating scale.
    6. The practitioner uses a protocol to find the next instruction needed to complete the neutralization process. Steps 3–6 are repeated as needed until the client feels complete for the session.

The process of memory reconsolidation is carefully included in the MAP session protocol so that the client’s stressful memories impeding her happiness or peak performance goals are gently, safely, and rapidly neutralized in real time. The client typically observes changes in emotions, body sensations, thoughts, and muscle tension, and may suddenly recall other memories related to her family history or generational trauma.
